We are excited to announce the First Workshop, HAYDN Mission 2025, to be held 14–16 July 2025 in Bologna, Italy. This three-day event is a critical step in shaping the HAYDN proposal for ESA’s M8 mission call.
The July HAYDN Mission workshop will bring together the astrophysics community to refine the mission’s scientific case and engage new collaborators. HAYDN is designed to deliver high-cadence, high-precision photometry in dense stellar environments such as clusters—an opportunity to push the limits of stellar physics.
First Haydn Workshop Objectives
- Review and refine HAYDN’s science goals
- Define observational strategies and mission trade-offs
- Plan quantitative studies for the M8 proposal phase
Key topics will include the role of HAYDN data in asteroseismology, exoplanet research, binary evolution, and stellar population studies. We will also address synergies with missions such as PLATO and Roman.
